Maine
Now to continue with the series of photos depicting our trip this past May. I'm still going out of chronological order in this series since I feel like writing about Maine today. Growing up, my family and I would go to Maine in the summertime to vacation with my grandparents. Not every year, but often enough to leave me with some wicked amazing memories. And every year that we would go, we would tell Mariko that she had to go back with us there. This past summer, she finally did! Not only that, but we were able to show her Boston, New York City, and Chicago as well.

My grandparents own a cottage on this small island called Frye Island on Sebago Lake in Maine. It was woodsy and relaxing there, and very photogenic. Growing up we would explore the woods, pick berries, look for deer, swim in the lake, and go out in my grandpa's boat. My memories from when I was a kid visiting Frye Island seems like something out of a storybook. We were so excited to show Mariko. While we were there this past summer, we mostly relaxed after a busy week in Chicago and a 20 hour car ride from Chi Town to Mass. But we got our bit of exploring in, as well as some beautiful walks. And we saw tons of wild deer, which is always amazing...for us at least. Being May, it was still cold and rainy, but beautiful.
A lot of the pictures here are from Frye Island, but theres also some from all over the state. New England is Easily one of my favorite places in America. Oh yeah, and theres surf there as well. Sarah and Mariko's pictures were taken with their Canon 60D cameras, and mine are from my Diana Mini.
